If someone missed the latest update Ver 0.3.2.5(13.12.2020) this APK version brings Amazfit Band5 device support.
This band has almost the same features and price as MiBand5 from Xiaomi. But Amazfit Band5 has some extra features which can be useful.

- BLOOD OXYGEN SATURATION MONITOR: With Amazfit Band 5 you can measure your blood oxygen saturation and understand your physical state with OxygenBeats. Ideal during high-intensity workouts and sports such as marathons and gym workouts.
The configuration for this device is the same as for MiBands . The only difference is that you should use the latest patched “Zepp” application from https://www.freemyband.com/ to generate an authorization code.
Please note, you should use "Miband" menu for Amazfit Band5, GTS2 Mini, GTR2, GTS2, BIP S, BIP, GTR(not "Amazfit" menu which is for Amazfit devices based on Wear OS )

At first, make sure you use the latest xdrip from my blog (not official xdrip). If this does not help, please show the miband status scree from the xdrip so we can try to help you better.

Great, big thanks for your work! Do you mean Amazfit GTR first or second generation? I have Mi Band 4, Amazfit Band 5 (I use your watchface) and Amazfit Stratos (Klaus3d3Ā“s watchface with my minor tweaks) – but I’ve always been forced to return to Stratos for always on display – but that could work with GTR, right?

At the moment I’m working with the GTR first generation. But there almost no differences between GTR and GTR2 except for the embedded music storage. And this watch does not support always-on display for watchfaces. Actually the GTR, GTR2, GTS this is the same miband5 but with the larger screen.

Question: is there anything technically making it impossible for this band or MiBand to collect the data from miaomiao? The use case here is: small boy with DT1. Smartwatches are too big and have too many functionalities (kid gets distracted with all the apps). Don’t want him with a mobile phone yet. Miband would be perfect for him to start getting used to managing his values and even prevent some of the lows/highs. Thanks!

Ok, maybe you right. It seems the current miband branch is very stable unlike the amazfit gtr branch, testing which can take a lot of time. I’ll prepare PR from miband5 and amazfit5 soon.

I think I found a small bug in the watchface, though. For a reason unknown to me the lock indication on the watchface seems to be flipped: the lock icon is present when screen locking is either turned off completely or turned on and unlocked. On the other hand, the lock icon vanishes when I turn the lock feature on and the band gets actually locked. Seems like for some reason the boolean value representing the lock state gets flipped somewhere.
Did you encounter such case? Is there any remedy for that? Do you want me to send you some diagnostic data (if so, then what and where should I send)?

Sure, it’s Amazfit Band 5. I didn’t mention it because I assumed it was obvious given 5he context of this post.
I also found some strange behavior with IoB presentation in the watchface. Consider the following scenario:
1. IoB is equal to 0. Enter bolus in xDrip as a treatment.
2. Synchronize the watchface with the resulting IoB value.
3. Undo the bolus in xDrip, so that IoB in xDrip is back to 0.
In subsequent watchface synchro the plot gets updated (bolus line and point vanish, prediction curve changes), but IoB on the watch does not – and it will retain the valuebreceived in the update between the bolus island it’s undo until another treatment (either manual or downloaded from Nightscout) overwrites it.

many thanks for your great work. I used the MiBand 3 for a long time with your implementation. Up to now I’ve got a GTR 2e, and would like to try to use it. Unfortunately I think the pull request for Miband 5 against xDrip is maybe not complete in the view of GTR. I’ve seen there that you startet also there to add the GTR basis, but no Watchface and so on. I’ve used this pull request, and try to add the GTR 2e (made my own Watchface, and add GTR 2e also in the relevant places in source similar to GTR). Unfortunately no graphs are like to send. So I’m assuming the Pull request is not complete. on the pages here you provided a GTR version, where is also visible that the directory structure for the bin’s are changed.
So my question is: is it possible to receive your last source from somewhere, because in your Fork it looks like not included on github up to now.

Type the Auth key manually from a file in the freemyband folder – but you need to delete the dash “-“

The 12/24 hour format probably defines the watchface. Wasn’t this an option in older versions of xDrip?

Amazfit GTS is not supported. This device is not suitable for xdrip because it vibrates after every watchace update. And this vibration not possible to deactivate. Also, this watch has a slow watcface uploading time
